From time to time, it may be necessary to update the TwistCLI tool.  PaloAlto Networks supports [ n – 2 ] versioning for the TwistCLI, where ‘n’ is a major release.

For example, version 31.XX will only support the previous two TwistCLI versions (30.XX and 22.12).


Teams can manually obtain the TwistCLI tool directly from their tenant console (May require a team Administrator to access).  Log in and go to: Manage > System > Utilities

The TwistCLI and other utilities can be directly downloaded from here.
Individual teams are responsible for how they use the TwistCLI tool in their pipelines and scans – this is beyond the scope of this article.
Note: At the time of writing, the PrismaCloud / Twistlock version was 31.XX.
