Attention all users! The ICAM team has migrated all accounts to Entra ID. All accounts require the VA network for access. More information on this migration can be found at this link: Entra ID Migration
I need to activate Okta Verify in order to access Confluence or Jira.
Step-by-step guide
- Log into the Okta Dashboard
- Select the drop-down arrow near your name in the upper right-hand corner.
- Select Settings.
- From the settings page, under the security settings page you will see Okta Verify, press set up.
- You will then be prompted to verify
- Once Verified – select Set up.
- Download the Okta Verify app to your phone from the App Store or Google Play Store
- Open the app on your mobile device.
- Select Add Account.
- Select Organization.
- Scan the QR code from the website with the app when prompted.
- Your account should now be linked. And you should be able to view it from the Security Methods section of the Okta dashboard.
- Okta Verify will now appear as a security method when you authenticate.
- Jira and Confluence with Okta are sunsetting support for SMS as an authentication factor on September 23rd, 2024.
- PIV card is the required method for authenticating to DevSecOps tools.
If you are unable to authenticate with a PIV card or are operating on a PIV exemption: using DevSecOps tools requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) for security purposes; Okta Verify is the required application for authentication.
