You can create DOTS Service Desk tickets directly in Slack, instead of using the DOTS form. This may help save some time to create a Service Ticket.
Step-by-step guide
Method 1: Using a text prompt:
- In any chat window in Slack, type the following and press "enter".
/create-dots-service-request - You will be presented with a form to create your DOTS Service Desk Ticket. Fill in the fields with the appropriate information and hit SUBMIT JIRA TICKET
Method 2: in the MTS-Support Slack channel
- Go to the MTS-support channel in Slack https://deptofveteransaffairs.enterprise.slack.com/archives/C05PRL759TP
- Type "Help" and press "enter".
- Click on the button for "Create Service Desk Ticket"
- You will be presented with a form to create your DOTS Service Desk Ticket. Fill in the fields with the appropriate information and hit SUBMIT JIRA TICKET
- If you are using the text prompt, it doesnt matter what Slack Direct Message/Channel you are currently in when you type in the prompt: it will not be seen by others when you hit "enter".
