Attention all users! The ICAM team has migrated all accounts to Entra ID. All accounts require the VA network for access. More information on this migration can be found at this link: Entra ID Migration
I am unable to edit a Confluence page.
Step-by-step guide
In most cases, you are unable to edit a confluence page for reasons associated with your access level. Below are some access reasons you may not be able to edit a Confluence page:
- Is the page restricted?
- Check to see if the page has a red lock at the top. If that is the case, you can click on it to see the restrictions that are applied. These could be restrictions for just that page, or the restrictions could be for inherited restrictions from a parent page.
- If the page is restricted and you dont have access, please request access through the DOTS team form. NOTE: approval from the page owner/project lead is REQUIRED to grant access. If access is granted, you will be added to a group that has access to that page or section.

- Are you logging in on your GFE?
- In many cases, you will need to log in through your GFE, using your PIV Card.
Users are required to use their GFEs or CAG desktops when accessing VA resources; this includes being on the VPN in order to make changes uninhibited within Confluence. DOTS is not responsible for supporting access from non-VA devices when that access is available through an approved device.
You may have the ability to view -and even intermittently edit- a page off VPN (even though its not recommended); however, this may not be consistent and you may experience issues.
